The Pomeranian, a small and spirited breed, traces its origins back to the larger Spitz-type dogs of the Arctic regions. Named after the Pomerania region in northern Europe, these dogs were initially bred for herding and sled-pulling. Over the years, selective breeding led to the development of the compact and fluffy Pomeranian we adore today, known for its lively personality and loyal nature.
